Kickstart Your 2025: Daily Writing Exercises Preview

The New Year is almost here! And in 2025, my biggest resolution is to write for ten minutes a day, every day. So I’ve pre-loaded writing exercises & prompts for the month of January, and will be posting them here and on And Now We Write for anyone who wants to join in.

The real daily pod will start coming out Jan 1 [UPDATE: we’re live! — AH], but I guess some distributors (*cough* Apple) make you publish something before they will list you, so I went ahead and made a preview ep.

I think you can subscribe now if you want to try this, too? But starting Jan 1 for sure.

I’ve already gotten the question … no, this is not just a January thing. It’s a whole-year thing. But January is already pre-queued, and that’s important.

Here’s why:

The rule of thumb is that it takes about three weeks for a new habit to take hold, so it’s extra-important to make those first three weeks super duper easy.

I’m doing that for me by lining up the whole month ahead of time.

You can do that for you by subscribing to the pod 🙂 🙂 🙂 or seriously, honestly, whatever strategy works best for you.

No matter what your resolutions are, no matter how you achieve them, I hope you have a WONDERFUL 2025. Happy writing!
